cloudy with a chance of tipper

It’s hard to believe it’s officially spring with the weather we are having in NYC.

Tipper’s album Surrounded is a great downtempo journey whose namesake begs to be listened in a surround sound system. For the most part, the music is very introspective and is perfect for the weather that we are having these days. Very intricate sound production and consistently good through out… Tipper never disappoints. Sit back, put on the album and chill to one of the greatest masterminds in music today.

Tipper – Just As the Sun Went Down … lush and gorgeous.

Tipper – Maximus Rotundus features a brilliant orchestral movement and an ethereal chorus.

Tipper – No Dice

Tipper – California Rolls made with some killer acoustic guitar sounds

Do it yourself for less. Most items that are needed can be readily found around the house. (Chair, cardboard, paper, glass/clear acrylic sheet, webcam and projector).

Eskmo – Cloudlight

Eskmo is Brenden Angellides,  San Francisco-based artist signed to the stellar Ninja Tune label.

So what do you guys think this track is all about? DMT? LSD? Or somebody’s ashes?

Imagine a puddle waking up one morning

Posted in ❝ pearls of wisdom ❞ by Charlotte WTF on April 7, 2011

Imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, ‘This is an interesting world I find myself in – an interesting hole I find myself in – fits me rather neatly, doesn’t it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!’ This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, it’s still frantically hanging on to the notion that everything’s going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise.
